Certificate according to the Schengen Agreement


The form must be applied for 2 weeks before the start of the vacation!!!


Special rules apply to travel within the Schengen area:

  • Validity: The certificate is valid for a maximum of 30 days and must be reissued for each trip.
  • Carrying: You must carry the certificate with you throughout your trip and present it to the authorities if necessary.

Special regulations for non-Schengen states

  • Country-specific requirements: For travel outside the Schengen area, regulations vary depending on the destination country. It is recommended to check with the embassy or consulate of the destination country well in advance of your trip for the exact requirements.
  • Import permit: Some countries may require a special import permit.

Quantity of narcotics

  • Travel necessities: You may only take the amount of narcotics necessary for the duration of your trip.
  • Packaging: Medications should remain in their original packaging and be labeled with the contents and dosage.
  • Individual certificate: A separate certificate is required for each narcotic drug you carry. This means you need a separate slip of paper for each different medication you carry, confirming the prescription and medical necessity.

Security checks

  • Airport security checks: Be prepared to show your medical certificate and medication at airport security checks. It's advisable to carry your medication in your hand luggage so you have it handy at all times.

Additional information

  • Country information: Find out about the rules and regulations of your destination country. This can be especially important, as some countries have very strict regulations regarding the import of narcotics.
  • Contact details: Carry your doctor's contact details and a copy of the prescription with you in case there are any queries from the authorities.
